Women play a key role in society and politics, studies show great numbers of women in politics generally raising voice for harassment against women, participation in the basic requirement for gender equality. Political responsibility to women begins with an increasing number of women in decision-making. Several countries are led by women leaders some of the examples of which are Vice President of United States of America Kamla Harris, Prime Minister of Bangla Desh Haseena Shaikh and re-elected prime minister of New Zealand as well as Chancellor of Germany Angela Markel. These examples also prove the success of the developed countries.
In Pakistan recognition is growing that women in 2020 are marginalized from political and public life. However, in the past few years, we’ve seen this play out in high-profile elections in Pakistan. Late Benazir Bhutto was the first woman Prime Minister of Pakistan, and even though widely accepted and hailed for her developmental works, peace and prosperity worldwide.
