SWABI: Reacting to the termination of his basic membership by the Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan (AJIP), MPA Babar Khan said on Sunday that he was the elected representative of thousands of people and he would fight a legal battle if an effort was made to de-seat him. Babar Khan, who is the son of late Dr Muhammad Salim, (founder of the Swabi Qaumi Mahaz), was elected as MPA from PK-31 in the 2013 general election on AJIP ticket.

This will be the first session after the de-seating of parliament speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq by an election tribunal on August 22.
