PESHAWAR: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday announced schedule to fill reserved seats in Tehsil, Town and district councils of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which were secured by different political parties but remained vacant due to exhaustion of priority lists of their respective candidates.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed the Election Commission to hold local government elections in more than eighty Union Councils (UCs) in eleven districts of Sindh. A two-member bench headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed heard ECP’s appeal against the decision by the Sindh High Court.
