Musalihat Anjuman and Panchayat
A panchayat or Musalihat Anjuman is a local government institution made at grassroots level for amicable settlement of the dispute. Musalihat Anjuman will be constituted in city area whereas Panchayat will be constituted in village area.

Powers of the commission ·         The Government may, on the recommendation of the Commission, suspend a Mayor or a Chairman for a maximum period of ninety days for fair conduct of inquiry

·         Where, on an inquiry the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman or Vice Chairman of a local government is found guilty of misconduct by the Commission, the Commission shall recommend to the Government any appropriate action including removal of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman or Vice Chairman and the Government may pass appropriate orders including the removal of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman or Vice Chairman.

Punjab Local Government Board
The Punjab Local Government Board will be constituted to look after the affairs of the local government employees.
