This report highlights the serious consequences of an irresponsible media. CPDI believes that there should not be government intervention in media associations ahead of enforcing certain nominal standards, which should be consistent with international best practices. However, it is vital that media organizations on their own, take serious and practical steps to build system for self assessment and tackle the flaws identified in this publication. Any delay in this regard will challenge media’s credibility.
