Member of National Assembly 2013-2018 (PTI) on a reserved seat for women; In February 2018 launched her own party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Gulalai. Prior to joining PTI she had served as the Chief Coordinator of the Pakistan Peoples Party for FATA, and was also briefly part of All Pakistan Muslim League.
