ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has established an Overseas Voting Directorate in the commission for research on the subject and to deal with matters relating to overseas voting.

ISLAMABAD: In a rare reaction, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Sunday strongly condemned a statement of the National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq wherein he castigated the electoral body for forwarding a petition by the PTI’s Aleem Khan to the election tribunal.

LAHORE: Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Sunday said that sending the election case to the election tribunal without hearing his point of view demonstrates the incompetence and dishonesty on the part of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). He said he was penalised once and now the ECP will have to bear the brunt.

LAHORE: An election tribunal issued on Friday a notice to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on a petition filed by PTI candidate Abdul Aleem Khan alleging irregularities and pre-poll rigging in the NA-122 (Lahore) by-election.
