QUETTA: Just two days after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly got first female deputy speaker, another woman lawmaker has won the Balochistan Assembly speaker polls.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed the Local Government (LG) polls scheduled on December 30 in district Sanghar and some union councils of Badin due to the law and order situation.

An election tribunal Tuesday adjourned the hearing of PP-152 alleged rigging case till January 6. Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has raised serious concerns over performance of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and said that there is a need of capacity building of ECP.
