Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto also holds the distinct record of receiving the highest percentage of the polled votes in any general elections of the national history. She received 98.48% votes in the 1990 General Elections.

History was again created in 2008, when as a result of February 18 General Elections, Dr Fehmida Mirza became the first woman in Pakistan’s history to be elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly. She’s also the first woman Speaker in the Muslim World.

Section 9 of the Election Act 2017 indicates that if the “turnout of women voters is less than ten percent of the total votes polled in a constituency”, the ECP can presume that women were restrained from voting and declare the results of the constituency or some of its polling stations as null and void.

الیکشن ایکٹ 2017 کے سیکشن 9 کی رو سے، اگر “خواتین ووٹرز کا ٹرن آؤٹ، انتخابی حلقے میں ڈالے گئے کل ووٹوں کے دس فیصد سے کم ہو”  تو الیکشن کمیشن یہ فرض کر سکتا ہے کہ خواتین ووٹرز کو ووٹ دینے سے روکا گیا  اور وہ اس انتخابی حلقے یا اس کے بعض پولنگ سٹیشنوں کے نتائج کو منسوخ اور کالعدم قرار دے سکتا ہے۔
